So how was your 2009? Did it work for you? High federal deficits,high unemployment, out of control federal spending, a liberal congress intent on snubbing their holier than thou noses at the very people who put them there...all in the name of change...change we can believe in (where have we heard that before?) And to think there is more to come.
Senator Harry Ried and his House counterpart, Nancy Pelosi, are hell bent on giving us what 62% of us say we don't want - Health Care Reform. Harry wrapped up the Senate version as a Christmas Eve present,forcing congress to vote on it at 6am when we were all asleep, not paying attention. his present is the dreaded fruitcake. The only problem with this one is you can't pass it on. We are stuck with it. An albatross rammed down the throats of the American people. and the punch line? Whatever form the final bill takes won't take affect until 2014. But WE get to start paying for it as soon as the ink dries after Obama signs it, in the form of tax incereases. I thought the main reason for all this was because we had to get all those millions of people (the number keeps changing) who didin't have health care, on health care. I guess, in the minds of Harry and Nancy, they've been without it for so long, they can wait awhile longer. 2010 - should be fun!
