The Man Wants a Second Term!! Say What...??

Since Barack Obama took office in January 2009  the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) is down, gas prices have doubled (from $1.85 per gal to $4.00 per gal), the country's credit rating has been downgraded 2 times, The debt has quadrupled to $16 trillion, median income per family is down $4,000 and the poverty rate is at the highest in 40 years - 15.7% or 47 million people  ....oh,  and did we mention the 3+ years of an 8%+ unemployment rate with 25 million+ people out of work?

And he wants another four years to.....add to these numbers??
                                              UH........NO!

They Knew But Lied!

                                                                                                     AP Photo

Well...it turns out the administration knew all along what the rest of us knew....but lied about it....that the attack on the Libyan Embassy was not "spontaneous" but a pre-planned terrorist attack with Al-Qaeda written all over it.

From the beginning the administration, from the President, to Hillary Clinton to UN Ambassador Susan Rice to press secretary Jay Carney and campaign adviser Robert Gibbs were blaming a silly anti-Muslim film trailer made in the U.S. and calling the attacks "spontaneous." President Obama was railing about this video as late as this past Tuesday when he addressed the United Nations General Assembly.  Problem: the trailer had been on the Internet since July. This uprising took place two months later on the 11th anniversary of 9/11. Problem: the attackers were caring grenade launchers and mortars, not the weapons of choice for a "spontaneous" demonstration. The attack resulted in the murders of four American diplomats including our ambassador to Libya.

So, the administration knew it was a terrorist attack within 24 hours of it happening. The question now is why the cover up and what are they hiding?

A Little Hyprocrisy Here?!

Liberals say Mitt Romney and republicans are the "greedy rich".Take a look at Forbes "Top 400 Richest Americans". Notice the 3 on the cover (Oprah, Bill Gates and Warren Buffet) are ALL BILLIONAIRES and ALL LIBERAL DEMOCRATS! Mitt Romney doesn't have near the wealth these billionaires do. And liberals say "blacks and women don't have a fair shot in America"? Yet there is a black woman and BILLIONAIRE, Oprah Winfrey in the center!

Obama's Priorities...Out of Whack!

Leaders of countries throughout the world are converging on New York this week for the United Nations General Assembly. President's in years past, including President Obama, have made it a point to meet one-on-one with key leaders, allies of the United States.
This year, with the Middle East in crisis, uprising against the U.S., the president, who should be focusing on this foreign policy issue, is instead in full campaign mode. He will not meet with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, our staunchest ally in the Middle East, nor Egyptian President Mohammed Morsi who has given a new meaning to U.S.-Egyptian relations, “You’re not an ally — you’re a friend.” Whoops!
The president seems to view the Middle East situation as, as he put it, "just another bump in the road," which is how he views the economy problem.
Instead of focusing on America's security issues as they relate to the Middle East he has since the crises erupted resulting in the deaths of four American diplomats President Obama went campaigning, appeared on the Late Show with David Letterman, hobnobbed with the likes of singers Beyonce' and Jay-Z and now, instead of meeting with U.S. allies and friends, the president will sit sit down on the couch with the ladies of  the daytime TV talk show "The View."

Seems Whoopi Goldberg is more important than Mr. Netanyahu. Priorities, Mr. President, priorities.

Let's Spend Some More Money, Mr. President

Here we go again --President Obama is spending your tax dollars to bail out his failed economic plan (remember Stimulus 1 and Stimulus II?). It's more of the same from an out-of-touch president with no plan to fix our economy and put Americans back to work.

This past week, Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernacke announced the FED would print $40 billion every month to prop up this administration's jobless recovery -- that's money we can't afford for jobs we will never see. Every Month?! Whoa!

So, what did we get for the money the president blew on his plan?

  • 43 months of record unemployment; the government started publicizing unemployment numbers in 1948. in the years from Presidents Harry Truman through George W. Bush, America had a total of 39 months of an unemployment rate above 8%. President Obama alone at this writing is at 43 months at 8% and counting
  • 23 million Americans unemployed, underemployed, or no longer looking for work;
  • $16 trillion debt; four trillion-dollar deficits
  • Household incomes that have fallen more than $4,000
  • Unemployment above 8% - Obama promised 5% be end of his first term
  • A record 46.7 million Americans -- or roughly one in five adults -- used food stamps in June of this year. Food stamp use has jumped 51% since 2008

Well put, Mr. President!

The Middle East....My Take.

Bob Harrison
White House press secretary Jay Carney said Friday the violent protests throughout the Middle East are not directed at the United States or U.S. policy but are a response to a YouTube video.
Uh...no. It's because there are religious fanatics in that part of the world who despise the United States and all we stand for, period. Nothing more, nothing less, and someone needs to explain this to the White House and Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton. Until they understand what the rest of us understand about these people the sooner our  government can react to this, and future, provocations responsibly and forcefully.
From the beginning of this uprising, now taking place in 21 countries, Mr. Obama's administration was apologizing for the fact that someone made a movie that hurt the feelings of these religious zealots. As ridiculous and stupid as the movie may be, the president needs to be reminded that we operate in this country under the a Constitution in which the First Amendment calls for the freedom of speech. Therefore, no apology needed, Mr. President. As a matter of fact, the president has, from day one of his presidency, been running around the world apologizing for all sorts of what he deems misdeeds for hundreds of years by the United States. Again, someone needs to tell Mr. Obama we don't apologize. To do so perceives us to be a weak nation, and therefore, what has happened in the past few days, happens.

Obama Brushes Off Netanyahu - Throws Israel Under The Bus ...Again!

The United States has many enemies around the globe. This country is not well liked by many countries. There are a few with whom the U.S. has rock-solid relationships, Great Britain across the pond, Canada our neighbor to the North and Israel in the Middle East to name a few. There are others. Israel, perhaps, over the years, has been our staunchest ally. Israel sits in a part of the world where all its neighbors would like to blow the tiny country off the face of the earth. U.S. presidents have always vowed to stand by Israel should the need be. Until now. President Barack Obama several times has turned his back on Israel, and he apparently is doing it again. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu visits this country and the United Nations later this month. The president has met with Netanyahu during each of his visits to the U.S. but Obama says he has no time this time. Excuse me!! Israel is on the brink of war with Iran who has threatened Israel with nuclear weapons. Under the circumstances, Mr. President, you make the time! Even if there was no request on the part of Israel for a meeting, it's incumbent on you to schedule one.
You can read the full story of Obama's latest snub of Israel by clicking the link below. The American Jewish community backed Obama during the last election. I would hope they reconsider their support this time around.

Valerie Jarrett: The Real Power in the White House?

Do you know this person, and why  does she have full Secret Service protection?

Valerie Jarrett

BY:

A bombshell front-page story in Sunday’s New York Times investigates Valerie Jarrett, senior adviser to President Obama and chair of the “White House council on women and girls,” according to her official biography.
Among the revelations included in the Times exposé: Jarrett is protected by a full-time Secret Service detail.
The White House refuses to disclose the number of agents or their cost, citing security concerns. But the appearance so worried some aides that two were dispatched to urge her to give the detail up.
She listened politely, one said, but the agents stayed.
The article describes Jarrett, heir to a Chicago real-estate fortune and a longtime fixer for former Chicago mayor Richard M. Daley as well as for President Obama, as “the other power in the West Wing.”
For example, when billionaire investor and Obama supporter Warren Buffett visited the White House for lunch last July, “the table was set for three”: Buffett, the president of the United States, and Valerie Jarrett.
Jarrett once ordered “a drink from a four-star general she mistook for a waiter” at a White House event, according to the report.
Moreover, Jarrett “is the only staff member who regularly follows the president home from the West Wing to the residence, a practice that has earned her the nickname ‘the Night Stalker.’”
Jarrett is identified by Times correspondent Jo Becker as the person responsible for such controversial policy decisions as the insurance mandate for contraceptives, abortifacients, and sterilization procedures contained in the Obama health care overhaul; the president’s questionable decisions to sue the state of Arizona for its immigration enforcement statute SB1020 and to allow Millennial illegal immigrants to apply for work permits without consequence; and the president’s 2009 decision to fly to Copenhagen to lobby the International Olympic Committee to select Chicago for the site of the 2016 Olympics. The committee chose Rio De Janeiro.
Several Obama aides use the cover of anonymity to criticize Jarrett for being too close to the president, for disrupting the chain of command, and for pushing White House policies to the left end of the political spectrum.
One exception to the anonymous quotes is former White House official and now senior campaign adviser David Axelrod, who says:
‘There is an inherent challenge in managing anyone, this is not particular to Valerie, who is a senior adviser and part of a structure, and also close personally with the family. Obviously it’s cleaner and less complicated if everyone is discussing things at the same meetings. But it’s a manageable problem.”
That is the sort of statement, however, which is likely to raise even more questions about Jarrett’s influence, and the division and conflict it creates inside the Obama White House.

Obama, Clinton, Gingrich and GOD

President Obama left the Democratic National Convention in Charlotte, NC telling us all he can fix the country's woes and he deserved another four years to get it done. Republicans say he has had four years to get us at least started on the right track, but instead we are going in the opposite direction and why should we believe the next four years under an Obama stewardship would be any different. Review the chart below and ask yourself, "Do we really need four more years of this?"

As of this writing the unemployment rate has dropped to 8.1% in August but that was because more people  stopped looking for work. The government only counts those unemployed people who are actually looking for work. This is a fallacy because people who stopped looking are still unemployed.

Deja Vu...1994...Bill Clinton was in the first term of his presidency and we were subject to "Hillarycare," so named for the first lady because she was ramrodding the administration's own version of today's debacle we loving call "Obamacare." Hillarycare failed miserably and it, along with several other issues Clinton and his liberal friends were stonewalling on, resulted in the Republicans capturing the House of Representatives in the mid-term elections. New House Speaker Newt Gingrich and the Republicans put forth a "Contract with America," calling for, among other things, a balanced budget and welfare reform....

Yes, Bill has always taken the credit, as recently as his speech at this years' Democratic Convention. Truth is, he was forced to move to the center and work with the Republicans.
Fast forward to to the most recent mid-terms...again, the Republicans captured the House but Mr. Obama, unlike his democratic predecessor has steadfastly refused to work with the House, and so the mess we are in...

And, finally....The big news out of the 2012 Democratic Convention was the absence of GOD in the Democratic Platform....

The resulting uproar forced the Dems to reinstate GOD in their platform. Even after the vote was taken on the floor of the convention putting the name of GOD back in the document, a chorus of Boos was heard from the delegates...shameful!

Reaganisms....A Retrospective

Now that the conventions are over and we are headlong into the campaigns culminating on November 6th, election day, we thought we'd take a look back. ...President Ronald Reagan said many memorable things during his eight years in the Oval Office. These are just a few that are in stark contrast to the views of our current president.

PRESIDENT RONALD REAGAN

  • “Socialism only works in two places: Heaven where they don’t need it, and hell where they already have it.”
  • “Of the four wars in my lifetime, none came about because the U.S. was too strong.”
  • “Here’s my strategy on the Cold War: We win, they lose.”
  • “The nine most terrifying words in the English language are: I’m from the government and I’m here to help.”
  • “Government is like a baby: An alimentary canal with a big appetite at one end and no sense of responsibility at the other.”
  • “I have wondered at times about what the Ten Commandments would have looked like if Moses had run them through the U.S. Congress.”
  • “The taxpayer – That’s someone who works for the federal government but doesn’t have to take the civil service examination.”
  • “No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size. Government programs, once launched, never disappear. Actually a government bureau is the nearest thing to eternal life we will ever see on this earth.”
  • “It has been said that politics is the second oldest profession. I have learned that it bears a striking resemblance to the first.” (The oldest, of course, being prostitution.)
  • “Politics is not a bad profession. If you succeed, there are many rewards; if you disgrace yourself, you can always write a book."
  • “Above all, we must realize that no arsenal, or no weapon in the arsenals of the world, is so formidable as the will and moral courage of free men and women. It is a weapon our adversaries in today’s world do not have.”
  • “If we ever forget that we’re one nation under God, then we will be a nation gone under.”

Fact Check: Clinton Lied - Obama Bombed !

President Obama gave his acceptance speech at the convention tonight. It was not the Obama of four years ago. The speech was dull, uninspiring and lacking in substance. You can hear the speech if you missed it (No-Doz not provided but recommended) by clicking the link below. You'll have to endure the Obama's love-fest at the beginning.

Obama Grades Himself on the Economy - Incomplete . Excuse Me!?

President Obama has given himself an INCOMPLETE grade on the economy. Former President Bill Clinton speaking at the DNC said no president, not even he (Clinton), could turn the economy around in four years. Most Americans would give that to the president. But most Americans would also expect see some improvement, heading in the right direction in the four years, not going the other way as Mr. Obama has taken the country.

So, taking a look at the cold, hard numbers Mr. Obama deserves an F:

  • 42 – Consecutive months with (official) unemployment over 8%.
  • 66,000 – Average number of jobs added per month since recovery started (Below level needed to keep up with population growth.)
  • 63.7% – Labor force participation rate (30-year low.)
  • 52% – Percentage of voters that say the nation is in worse condition.
  • 54% – Percentage of voters that say Obama doesn’t deserve reelection based on his job performance
  • 31% – Percentage of voters that say the nation is in better condition today than when Obama took office.
  • $16,000,000,000,000 – National Debt will hit $16 trillion today.
  • $1,311,000,000,000 – President Obama, on average, has added $1.311 trillion of debt per year.
  • 7 – Months since Obama last met with jobs council.
  • 100 – In that same time, Obama has held over 100 fundraisers.
  • 1,224 – Days since the Democratic-led Senate adopted a budget resolution, on April 29, 2009.
  • 0 – votes Obama’s budget received in the Senate and House (414-0 in the House, 99-0 in the Senate.)
Regardless of what the situation was before he got into office, does this look like it receives an ‘incomplete’ grade to you? We are reminded that the economy was in bad shape when the president took office almost four years ago. What was his focus? Not the economy and jobs as it should have been, but Obamacare. And now he wants a second chance to get the economy right. He himself said that if he didn't straighten the economy out he would be a one-term president...We need to hold him to that.

Debt Hits $$$$$$ 16 TRILLION !

The U.S. National Debt has hit the $16 Trillion mark. Each citizen's share of that debt is $50,909 and counting. (Sorry, I don't have that kind of spare change in my pocket...or in my bank account.)

During the first term of the Obama presidency we have heard the Chief Executive lay the blame for a lot of things gone wrong on a lot of  things...and people...especially his predecessor, President George W. Bush.
As early as the 2008 campaign Barack Obama was trashing Mr. Bush on a number of things including, you guessed it, the debt, for taking "....“out a credit card from the Bank of China in the name of our children, driving up our national debt from $5 trillion for the first 42 presidents … so that we now have over $9 trillion of debt that we are going to have to pay back.”

Well, here we are, four years later, 2012 and look where we are. On January 20, 2009, the day Mr. Obama took office, this country owed a debt of $10.6 trillion, still way too much. Since then he has added an additional $5.4 trillion, more than Pres. Bush added in his two terms. Based on his track record in just one term, where will this country be in 2016 if Mr. Obama is awarded a second term?

 Perish the thought!

On the Eve of the Democratic National Convention..Some Thoughts

How fitting that on the day the Democratic National Convention kicks off in Charlotte, NC., the national debt tops $16 TRILLION. Mr. Obama, in 3.5 years of occupying the Oval Office, has added $5.5 TRILLION all by himself. And if he is re-elected it's estimated that Obama will up the anti several TRILLION more dollars before being put out to pasture. Sorry, but the country can no longer afford this man.

Speaking of the Dems National get-together, how ironic that while the Obama Justice Dept. is wasting time and money suing states that require photo IDs  to vote, you would need a photo ID to get into their fun-fest in Charlotte this week. Hypocritical? Just asking.

Maryland Governor Martin O'Malley claims we are better off now than we were four years ago. Huh!? Doubt he conferred with the 23 million Americans either out of work, under-employed or have given up looking for work or the 14 million people on food stamps.

The President doesn't have a record to run on (well, he does, but it's in the toilet..a total embarrassment) therefore we probably won't here much of his accomplishments this week. They'll claim this and they'll claim that (my favorite is the many private sector jobs they say they've created. Here again, the 23 million mentioned in the previous paragraph would disagree). Instead they will continue to run their bitter and hateful campaign that we've seen the last few months... demanding Romney's tax returns ( the IRS doesn't seem to have a problem with them, therefore it's none of their business), continuing their insane nonsense about Romney and Bain Capital ( old and tired news), dividing the country through class warfare by promising to tax the hell out of the job providers ( which will lead to a higher unemployment rate). maybe they'll even accuse Gov. Romney of murder again...nah...you think!?

Speaking of President Obama's record...if you compare it to the last democratic president's record, Bill Clinton, you would have to surmise that Obama is a complete and utter failure:
                                         Average Jobless Rate *
                          Clinton  5.2%                      Obama 9%
Average GDP (Growth Domestic Product) **
                          Clinton 3.9%                        Obama 0.7%
                                          Total Federal Deficit **
Clinton $1.5 Trillion               Obama $5.3 Trillion
Maybe the Democrats should nominate Bill Clinton at their convention this week. Just a thought.

One last thought....Liberals like to bash Bush saying he was late responding to Hurricane Katrina when she pummeled New Orleans several years ago. The day after the Republican National Convention last week, Mitt Romney headed to Louisiana to see the damage and meet with the victims of Hurricane Isaac that had just hit the state. The president, instead, headed off to fund raise, only forced to change plans after learning of the Romney visit and run to the area 4 days later (and he had to Bush Bash in the process...are we surprised?) Obama was also late to the BP oil spill in the Gulf in 2010. Remember that? It was 10 days after the spill that he finally got involved, again out fund raising and playing golf with friends. So much for Bush Bashing....

.......And R.I.P. Michael Clarke Duncan, 1957-2012. Academy Award Nominee for "The Green Mile."
