Is The President Delusional?

I'm sorry, but listening to the President the past week or so...I think the man is delusional.
I don't think he has a clue about anything and has resorted to making things up as he goes along...things that just aren't true:
He claims, on the economy, that the public sector is doing just fine. Millions of people, your humble blogger included, are out of work with few prospects for getting a job. While the government claims the unemployment rate is 8.2%, the real number is 18.2%. That includes those who are looking for a job AND those who have given up looking. (The government does not count those people). The President has no job policy. The public sector is not doing fine.
The President stepped in it last week by proclaiming that people who own businesses did not build that business..."you didn't build that. Somebody else did that." Other people built the roads and bridges to those businesses....true, WITH TAXPAYER MONEY, MR. PRESIDENT! His comments are an affront to all hard working Americans...now he's trying to run from those comments saying he didn't say that...Uh huh.
And he claims that, because of his leadership other countries now look at the United States as the world leader, look up to us. No, Mr. President,  that's the way the world viewed us when Ronald Reagan sat in the Oval Office...not now.
The President and his party are willing to extend the Bush-era tax cuts at least for another year. Kudos. Good work....but only if they can tax the rich in the process. Republicans say no. The country is in a depression. Not the time to raise any one's taxes, Obamacare not withstanding. The President and Democrats have never understood this basic economic premise. Taking money out of people's pockets does not improve the economy. Just the opposite. Why? The economy grows when people have more money to spend. The less they have, the less they spend and thus, the less goods and services are bought. The President's agenda is for big government with more people dependent on government. It's called welfare or the "nanny state."
The economy will be the focus of this year's election. More people than not now blame the current administration for making the economy worse. Mr. Obama cannot run on his record. It's deplorable. On the campaign trail he will not bring up his record on the economy because he knows how bad it is. Instead he will do anything to divert attention away from it. But it won't work. People are hurting and the public sector, despite what the President says, is not doing well.

A Brave Young Man

Eight-year old Christian Golczynski accepts the flag for his father, Sgt, Marc Golczynski, during a  memorial service. Marc Golczynski was shot on patrol during his second tour of duty in Iraq (which he had volunteered for) just a few weeks before he was due to come home.
