Is The President Serious? And Ignoring The Crisis led To The Crisis

The train wreck known as the "Fiscal Cliff" is fast approaching. Should Congress and the White House continue down its do nothing path, we will plunge over the cliff come January 1, 2013. Despite his daily harpings to the contrary, it appears President Obama wouldn't mind the country taking the fall. After all, he still gets his prized tax increases. The only difference is they will hit all taxpayers, not just the rich as he proposes. Then he will blame the Republicans for the crisis and, taxpayers, gullible as they are, will buy it. But is the president sincere in wanting to solve the the problem and keep us from going into a double-digit recession, or does he have an ulterior motive?
