The Arrogance That Is Barack Obama

The guy must think he's a king, or even God, maybe. After all, he did promise to begin to slow the rise of the oceans... and to heal the planet..Right? Watch It here

In the October 24, 2012 of the the Baltimore Sun we find the following opinion:

Webster's defines arrogance as the "offensive exhibition of assumed or real superiority," an "overbearing pride," an "imperious" nature. One only has to look to our government to find the embodiment of arrogance — in our elected officials, our Congress and our president.

Arrogance is not exclusive to liberals, moderates or conservatives. Arrogance is usually accompanied by one form of superiority or another. The arrogance of the ignorant "nobody" is as dangerous as that of the intellectual "somebody." Both deserve each other's company. The difference is the decisions of the "some bodies" can affect all the other "nobodies."

At no other time in the last 40 years have Americans witnessed the levels of political arrogance and swagger as are now collected in the marble halls of the U.S. Capitol and the White House. And no other person in high office displays more audacity than President Obama; he even wrote a book on the subject.

It has become abundantly clear since taking office that President Obama is not the great "fixer" of what is wrong with America; he has become the lightning rod for racial division, liberal zealots, conservative animosity and tea party action.

From his apology tours, government takeovers, looming tax increases, socialized health care, bank reforms, deficit spending, unsustainable debt, immigration lawsuits, unemployment woes, green energy fiascoes, and Benghazi cover-ups, President Obama's handling of matters has placed America in peril.

And  now the height of arrogance. The country is in economic peril. If a deal is not reached between congress and the White House by December 31,2012, taxpayers will see on New Years Day one of the largest tax hikes in history along with a host of other changes that will affect their  pocketbooks and the nation's economy and throw us into a deep recession.

It is up to the President of the United States to fix what has become known as the "fiscal cliff" before we fall of it on January 1. Former presidents John F. Kennedy, Ronald Reagan, George H.W. and George W. Bush...even Bill Clinton would remain at their desk to make sure that cliff is not realized. But not President Barack Hussein Obama. His arrogance, his audacity, his penchant for thumbing his nose at the American people (at least those who didn't vote for him) won't allow him to remain at the White House and do what needs to be done.

Instead, he is off to Hawaii for a 17 day vacation at a disgusting cost to the taxpayers of $4 million. To be sure, we don't begrudge the president a vacation with his family. His is a thankless job, downtime being part of the job description. But...there are two problems here. The first previously noted in the economic crisis the country faces. Second is the cost. At a time when people in the Northeast are suffering from the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy...many homeless, without power, food and clothing. And a  TRUE jobless rate of 14%, some 23 million people out of work...The president is once again showing his arrogance by ignoring his presidential duties during a time of crisis and taking an elaborate vacation with an exorbitant price tag....why? Because his arrogance would allow him to say, "Because I can!"

(PS...wasn't there another recent crisis where Mr. Obama, rather than remain at home and handle it, instead the next day flew off to Las Vegas on the campaign trail? It was called.......Benghazi, I think........just askin')
