Obama's State of the Union Address a Spin Job

President Obama's State of the Union (SOTU) speech Tuesday night was a spin job

Apparently the president took liberties with such items as:

  • touting an increase in manufacturing jobs when there was a net loss depending on the way it's calculated
  • Claiming both parties got together to reduce the deficit by more than $2.5 trillion
  • Saying automobiles travel double the distance on a gallon of gas
  • Claiming Obamcare is slowing the growth of medical costs

The business of Fact Check.org is to check the facts that are spewed out of the mouths of politicians. Click the link for an in-depth summary and analysis of SOTU 2013 provided by Fact Check. Org
