Threats From North Korea - U.S. Responds

UPDATE : U.S. Response, click the link to find out: We Can Deal With It

President Reagan
How about we deal with it before it happens? Everyone is talking about our missle defense syestem but no one is talking about dealing with it now, to prevent a first strike. We need an "in-your-face-" attitude from this president but we're not going to get it. One might ask, "What would Reagan Do?" Kim Jong Un knows what Reagan would do and as a result wouldn't have even made the threat!  (Update: 3/7/13 9:24pm CDT)

So much for the love and kumbaya from former NBA basketballer Dennis Rodman after he returned from North Korea singing the praises of strongman Kim Jong Un.

North Korea has put the United States on notice that the U.S. is in their gun sights for a first strike attack. Read More: North Korea Rattles the Sabre

There are those who feel Rodman's visit to the communist country should be taken with a grain of salt. Read More in this opinion By Ellen Kim and Carolyn DuMond on CNN.com : Don't be Fooled by Rodman's Visit

Kim Jong Un and Dennis Rodman
And now we hear that the former Chicago Bull star is planning a return visit to North Korea. Read More: Dennis the Diplomat

North Korea announced its hard-line stand against the U.S. just a week after Rodman's happy visit, signaling that maybe Kim Jong Un doesn't hang on to relationships very long. Kim's threat to rain fire on the U.S. came after new United Nations sanctions were imposed on North Korea because of their nuclear weapons tests.

One wonders what Rodman's thoughts are today in learning that his BFF is targeting his homeland for nuke annihilation.

President Obama
And what of President Obama's reaction to this new threat from North Korea? I'm sure we will hear tough words from the administration...but just how serious will those words be? Mr. Obama is famous for talking tough and promising action, but as we have seen with recent problems such as sequestration, the president promised a lot but did nothing.

Will this be more of the same? Stay tuned.....
